A message from the Board and Staff of the Raymond John Wean Foundation:

In March, we suspended our regularly scheduled grantmaking and created with the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley and The Youngstown Foundation the COVID-19 Crisis Relief and Stabilization Application, designed to leverage grant dollars and connect grantseekers directly with all three foundations for quick funding decisions.

As of October 31, together the foundations have invested more than $2 million through 125 grants aimed at addressing both crisis relief and stabilization efforts in the Mahoning Valley.

While the current application is paused, preparation for 2021 funding is well underway. As we reconsider the dynamics of decision-making and access to resources and opportunity, we will employ fresh thinking and innovative strategies to address systemic funding and resource inequities that too often fall along lines of race.

We remain committed to our vision of empowered residents creating a more equitable Mahoning Valley.

Information regarding 2021 funding will be released as it becomes available.
